Privacy PolicyHow we handle the information you share with us
LGS Lab Gas System respects the privacy of everyone who visits www.labgassystem.com or contacts us about a laboratory gas system. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and the rights you have.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Scope
Who we are and what this policy covers
This website is operated by LGS Lab Gas System (“LGS”, “we”, “us”), a supplier of laboratory and specialty gas delivery systems with factories in Songjiang District, Shanghai and Longhua District, Shenzhen, China. LGS is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
The policy applies to information collected through this website and through the email addresses and telephone number published on it. It does not apply to other websites that we link to, and it does not replace any specific confidentiality or data protection terms agreed in a quotation, contract or project quality plan; where such terms exist, they take precedence for that project.
By using this website you acknowledge the practices described here. Where the law requires your consent, for example for non-essential cookies, we ask for it separately and you can refuse or withdraw it at any time.
What we collect
Information we collect
This website has no user accounts, online shop or newsletter sign-up, and it does not include an online enquiry form. We therefore collect only a small amount of personal information.
Information you send us
When you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to give us. This usually includes your name, organisation, job title, email address, telephone number, country and the content of your message. Project enquiries often include gas lists, instrument lists, drawings, floor plans, photographs of existing installations and other technical files. We treat these files as confidential business information. Please do not send passwords or confidential process details in a first message; drawings and detailed documents can be exchanged once a contact is established.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers and our content delivery network record technical information when pages are requested: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver pages, protect the site against attacks and abuse, and understand overall traffic. It is not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page performance. It does not use cookies and does not track visitors across other websites.
Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as health data or government identification numbers, through this website, and we do not process payment card details online.
How we use it
How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, the legal basis for each purpose is shown in brackets.
- Replying to enquiries and preparing proposals, quotations, technical answers and document requests (steps you ask us to take before a contract; our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).
- Delivering projects and supplying equipment, including design, production, installation, testing, commissioning, training and after-sales support (performance of a contract).
- Keeping business records such as quotations, orders, delivery records and invoices (legal obligations, for example accounting and tax rules).
- Operating, securing and improving the website, including preventing fraud, spam and attacks (legitimate interest).
- Occasional follow-up about a project or enquiry you started with us (legitimate interest). We do not send marketing newsletters without your consent, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
- Meeting legal requirements and protecting our rights, for example responding to lawful requests from authorities or handling disputes (legal obligation; legitimate interest).
We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it to others, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. This website uses as few as possible. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies; you can change your choice at any time with the link below or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | LGS (CookieYes) | Remembers your cookie choices so the banner is not shown on every page. Strictly necessary. | 1 year |
| __cf_bm and other Cloudflare security cookies | Cloudflare | Distinguish people from automated traffic and protect the site against bots and attacks. Strictly necessary; set only when needed. | Up to 30 minutes or the session |
The site does not currently use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or third-party analytics cookies. If we add any in future, they will be listed here and will only be set after you consent.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
Sharing
Who we share information with
We share personal information only where it is needed for the purposes above:
- Service providers who host and protect this website and our email: Amazon Web Services (website hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery, security and cookieless analytics) and our email service provider. They process information on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Project partners where you ask us to work with them, such as your architect, MEP engineer, main contractor, logistics companies delivering equipment, or a local installation partner. We share only what the project needs.
- Authorities and advisers where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, for example with lawyers, auditors or insurers.
- A successor business if LGS or part of its business is reorganised or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Transfers and security
International transfers and how we protect information
LGS is based in China and serves customers internationally. Information you send us is handled by our team in China, and our website and service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where the law of your country restricts such transfers, we rely on the safeguards it provides for, such as contractual clauses with service providers, or on the transfer being necessary to answer your enquiry or perform a contract with you.
We protect personal information with reasonable technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole website, access to enquiry files limited to the staff who work on them, protected business email accounts and protection of the website against attacks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our measures as our business changes.
Retention
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for as long as is reasonably useful to follow up on them, and then deleted or anonymised.
- Project and customer records, including contact details, drawings, test records and handover documents, are kept for the life of the business relationship and the supplied system, because they are needed for support, extensions and warranty questions, and for as long as accounting, tax and product liability rules require.
- Technical logs on our servers and at Cloudflare are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal information. You can use them free of charge by contacting us; we may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it, for example for legal or accounting reasons.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to limit how we use your information, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including any follow-up contact.
- Portability: ask for information you provided to us in a commonly used electronic format.
- Withdrawing consent: where we rely on consent, such as for non-essential cookies, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Complaint: lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Residents of the EU, EEA and UK have these rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. Residents of mainland China have corresponding rights under the Personal Information Protection Law, including the right to know, decide on, access, copy, correct and delete their personal information. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may request to know and delete their personal information; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We respond to requests within one month, or within the shorter period your local law requires.
Children
This website is intended for business users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
